A quick and easy creamy buffalo chicken dip perfect for game day or casual get-togethers, combining shredded chicken, cream cheese, and buffalo sauce for a spicy, tangy, and comforting snack.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 cups shredded cooked chicken (about 10 oz / 450g)
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened (full-fat recommended)
  • 1/2 cup buffalo sauce (4 fl oz / 120ml)
  • 1/2 cup ranch dressing (4 fl oz / 120ml)
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (about 3.5 oz / 100g)
  • 1/2 cup blue cheese crumbles (optional, about 1.75 oz / 50g)
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Combine the cream cheese and buffalo sauce in a mixing bowl and beat until smooth and well blended, about 2 to 3 minutes.
  3. Add ranch dressing, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper; stir until evenly seasoned.
  4. Fold in shredded chicken and cheddar cheese. If using, fold in blue cheese crumbles.
  5. Transfer the mixture to an 8×8 inch baking dish and spread into an even layer.
  6. Bake uncovered for 20-25 minutes until edges are bubbly and top is lightly golden.
  7. Remove from oven and let cool for 5 minutes before serving.
  8. Optional: For an extra crispy top, broil for 1-2 minutes watching closely.

Notes

Use room temperature cream cheese for smooth blending. Adjust buffalo sauce to control heat. Shred chicken finely for better flavor distribution. Avoid overbaking to prevent dryness. For extra creaminess, add sour cream or Greek yogurt before baking. Can be made in a slow cooker on low for 1-2 hours. Leftovers keep up to 3 days refrigerated and freeze well for 2 months.
