  • 2 tablespoons Parmesan cheese (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil or melted butter
  • Optional extras: red pepper flakes, chopped fresh basil, diced olives

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone mat to avoid sticking.
  2. Unroll the crescent dough onto a clean surface. Gently press seams together to form a single sheet, then cut into 8 equal rectangles (about 3×4 inches or 7.5×10 cm each).
  3. Spread a thin layer of pizza sauce on each rectangle, about 1 tablespoon (15 ml) per piece. Keep it light to avoid sogginess.
  4. Add a sprinkle of Italian seasoning and garlic powder on the sauce for that herby, savory kick.
  5. Top with mozzarella cheese – about 2 tablespoons (15-20 g) per rectangle. Leave a small border around edges for sealing.
  6. Layer 3-4 slices of pepperoni over the cheese. Add any optional extras if desired.
  7. Roll up each rectangle tightly, starting from the shorter edge, sealing the edges by pinching the dough together to prevent leaks.
  8. Place the roll-ups seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 1 inch (2.5 cm) apart.
  9. Brush the tops with olive oil or melted butter to help them crisp up nicely. Sprinkle Parmesan cheese on top if you like.
  10. Bake for 15-18 minutes until golden brown and crisp. Keep an eye on them after 12 minutes to avoid over-browning.
