A quick and easy breakfast parfait featuring creamy Greek yogurt layered with fresh berries and crunchy granola. Perfect for busy mornings or a light snack, customizable and nutritious.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups (475 ml) plain Greek yogurt
  • 1 ½ cups (225 g) fresh mixed berries (strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, blackberries)
  • 1 cup (100 g) granola with nuts and oats
  • 2 tablespoons (30 ml) honey or maple syrup (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon (5 ml) vanilla extract (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon (10 g) chia seeds (optional)
  • Zest from 1 lemon (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the berries by rinsing gently under cold water and pat dry. Hull and slice strawberries into thin pieces.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine Greek yogurt with vanilla extract and honey or maple syrup if using. Stir gently until smooth and creamy.
  3. Choose serving glasses or jars. Spoon a few tablespoons of yogurt mixture into the bottom, add a layer of mixed berries (about 2 tablespoons), then sprinkle granola (1-2 tablespoons). Repeat layers until glass is nearly full, finishing with berries and granola on top.
  4. Optionally, sprinkle chia seeds or lemon zest on top and drizzle extra honey if desired.
  5. Serve immediately for maximum crunch or cover and refrigerate up to 4 hours. Add granola just before eating if stored.

Notes

Use thick Greek yogurt for best texture. Layer granola just before serving to keep it crunchy. Fresh ripe berries improve flavor and texture. Customize with seasonal fruits, nuts, or spices like cinnamon. Store parfait covered in fridge up to 24 hours; granola softens over time if mixed in early.
