A simple, no-cook Halloween charcuterie board that combines candy and cheese for a sweet and savory crowd-pleaser. Ready in under 15 minutes, it’s perfect for last-minute parties or family gatherings.

Ingredients

  • Sharp cheddar cheese, cubed (about 8 oz)
  • Brie cheese, whole wheel (about 8 oz)
  • Gouda, sliced into triangles (about 6 oz)
  • Goat cheese log, sliced into rounds (about 4 oz)
  • Candy corn (1 cup)
  • Mini chocolate bars, assorted (about 1 cup)
  • Caramel candies, unwrapped (about 1/2 cup)
  • Gummy worms or spiders (about 1/2 cup)
  • Chocolate-covered pretzels (1 cup)
  • Assorted crackers (2 cups)
  • Sliced baguette, cut into thin rounds (1 baguette)
  • Apple slices (1 apple, tossed in lemon water)
  • Dried apricots (1/2 cup)
  • Mixed nuts (1/2 cup, almonds and pecans recommended)
  • Fresh rosemary sprigs (optional, for decoration)
  • Black olives (optional, for spider shapes)
  • Edible candy eyes (optional, for decoration)

Instructions

  1. Prepare your board: Start with a clean, dry board. If using parchment paper, tear off a sheet slightly smaller than your board and place it in the center.
  2. Place the cheese first: Position cheeses around the board, spacing evenly. Put brie in a corner, cheddar cubes in another area, gouda slices in a cluster, and goat cheese rounds scattered nearby. Let cheese come to room temperature for 20 minutes before assembling.
  3. Add the crackers and bread: Arrange crackers and baguette slices around the cheeses. Fan them out in small groups, leaving open space for candy and other items.
  4. Fill in with candy: Place candy corn in a small bowl or pile directly on the board. Add mini chocolate bars in another area. Scatter caramel candies and gummy spiders around. Place chocolate-covered pretzels near the cheese.
  5. Add fruits and nuts: Tuck apple slices and dried apricots into empty spaces. Sprinkle mixed nuts in small clusters.
  6. Decorate for Halloween: Place rosemary sprigs around the board to look like creepy trees. Add black olives to resemble spiders. Scatter edible eyes for a fun touch.
  7. Serve immediately: Set the board out with small plates and napkins. If making ahead, cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for up to 2 hours. Let sit at room temperature for 15 minutes before serving.

Notes

Don’t overthink the arrangement; a slightly messy, organic look works better for Halloween. For best flavor, let cheese come to room temperature before serving. If making ahead, refrigerate for up to 2 hours and let sit at room temperature for 15 minutes before serving.
