  • 1 cup (170g) milk chocolate chips
  • 1 tablespoon (15ml) coconut oil or vegetable shortening (optional)
  • 1 cup (about 120g) crushed Oreo cookies (about 8–10 cookies)
  • 1/2 cup (40g) crispy rice cereal
  • 1/2 cup (80g) pretzel sticks, broken into small pieces
  • 1/2 cup (100g) Halloween-colored M&Ms
  • 1/4 cup (40g) candy corn (optional)
  • 1/4 cup (30g) festive sprinkles
  • Flaky sea salt, for finishing

Instructions

  1. Line a 9×13-inch baking sheet with parchment paper, leaving overhang on two sides.
  2. In a medium microwave-safe bowl, combine semi-sweet chocolate chips, milk chocolate chips, and coconut oil (if using). Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring well after each, until smooth and glossy (about 1.5 to 2 minutes total).
  3. Immediately add crushed Oreos, crispy rice cereal, and broken pretzel pieces to the melted chocolate. Fold until every piece is well-coated.
  4. Pour the chocolate mixture onto the prepared baking sheet. Spread into an even layer about 1/4-inch thick.
  5. While the chocolate is still wet, press Halloween M&Ms, candy corn (if using), and festive sprinkles into the surface. Sprinkle with flaky sea salt.
  6. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or until completely firm. (For a quicker set, freeze for 20-25 minutes.)
  7. Lift the bark out using the parchment overhang. Cut into irregular pieces or break apart with your hands.

Notes

For best results, use room temperature mix-ins to prevent chocolate from seizing. Press toppings gently into the chocolate so they stick. If chocolate becomes too thick while spreading, microwave for 10 seconds to loosen. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks, or freeze for up to 3 months.
