These adorable mummy hot dogs are wrapped in crescent roll bandages and feature spooky ketchup eyes. They’re quick, easy, and perfect for Halloween parties or a fun weeknight dinner.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 can (8 oz) refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 8 standard beef hot dogs
  • Ketchup, for the eyes
  • Mustard (optional, for zombie eyes)
  • Sriracha or hot sauce (optional, for bloodshot eyes)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line your baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Unroll the crescent roll dough onto a clean cutting board. If using perforated triangles, press seams together to form a rectangle. Cut the dough lengthwise into 8 thin strips, about ½ inch wide.
  3. Take one hot dog and place a strip of dough at the top, slightly overlapping the end. Wrap the dough around the hot dog in a spiral, overlapping each wrap slightly. Leave about ½ inch at the top for the face. Repeat with remaining hot dogs and dough strips.
  4. Arrange the wrapped hot dogs on the prepared baking sheet, leaving about an inch of space between each.
  5. Bake for 12-15 minutes, until the dough is golden brown and puffed.
  6. Remove from the oven and let cool on the pan for 2-3 minutes.
  7. Pour a small amount of ketchup into a bowl. Dip the tip of a toothpick into the ketchup and dab two small dots onto the exposed end of each hot dog to create eyes.
  8. Serve immediately.

Notes

For best results, wrap the dough snug but not tight to prevent tearing. Let the mummy dogs cool slightly before adding ketchup eyes to prevent smearing. You can prep the wrapped hot dogs a few hours ahead and refrigerate until ready to bake.
