A simple, fresh, and crowd-pleasing strawberry lemonade vodka punch perfect for summer gatherings, made by muddling fresh strawberries with lemon juice, vodka, and a touch of sweetness.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
  • 4 large lemons, juiced (about 3/4 cup fresh juice)
  • 1 1/2 cups vodka (360 ml)
  • 3/4 cup simple syrup (180 ml), homemade or store-bought
  • 2 cups cold water or sparkling water (480 ml)
  • Ice cubes, plenty for chilling
  • A handful of fresh mint leaves (optional)

Instructions

  1. Wash, hull, and slice about 2 cups of fresh strawberries. Place them in your pitcher or punch bowl. Using a muddler or back of a spoon, press the strawberries gently to release their juices but avoid turning them into mush (about 2-3 minutes).
  2. Roll each lemon on the counter to soften them, then juice 4 large lemons to yield approximately 3/4 cup (180 ml) of fresh juice. Pour the lemon juice over the muddled strawberries.
  3. Pour in 3/4 cup (180 ml) of simple syrup and 1 1/2 cups (360 ml) of vodka. Stir well to combine (about 2 minutes).
  4. Add 2 cups (480 ml) of cold water or sparkling water, depending on your preference. Then, fill the pitcher with ice cubes to chill the punch thoroughly. Stir gently again to mix everything evenly.
  5. Add a handful of fresh mint leaves if desired. Let the punch sit for 5-10 minutes to meld flavors before serving. Pour into glasses filled with ice and enjoy immediately.

Notes

Use fresh, ripe strawberries for best flavor and avoid over-muddling to prevent cloudiness. Adjust simple syrup to taste for sweetness. Let punch rest 5-10 minutes before serving to meld flavors. Prepare base ahead and add water and ice just before serving to keep it fresh. Lemon zest can be added for extra aroma.
