  • Prosciutto (4 oz)
  • Salami (4 oz)
  • Pepperoni (3 oz)
  • Black Olives (½ cup, kalamata and black)
  • Red Grapes (1 cup)
  • Green Grapes (1 cup)
  • Dried Apricots or Dried Figs (½ cup)
  • Fresh Rosemary Sprigs (a few)
  • Pomegranate Seeds (¼ cup)
  • Crackers (1 box, mix of shapes and flavors)
  • Breadsticks or Grissini (a handful)
  • Honey-Roasted Almonds or Marcona Almonds (½ cup)
  • Pretzel Sticks (a handful)
  • Fig Jam or Blackberry Jam (¼ cup)
  • Honey (2 tbsp)
  • Whole-Grain Mustard (2 tbsp)
  • Black Sesame Seeds (1 tbsp)
  • Edible Eyes (a small bag, optional)
  • Mini Plastic Spiders or Bats (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prep Your Cheeses (5 minutes): Take cheeses out of fridge 15 minutes before assembling. Cut hard cheeses into slices or cubes. Leave brie wheel whole.
  2. Prep Your Produce (5 minutes): Wash and dry grapes. Rinse pomegranate seeds. Drain olives and pat dry.
  3. Arrange the Bowls First (2 minutes): Place small bowls of fig jam, honey, and whole-grain mustard on the board, spaced evenly.
  4. Place the Brie (2 minutes): Put whole brie wheel in a prominent spot, slightly off-center. Drizzle with honey and sprinkle with black sesame seeds.
  5. Add the Meat (3 minutes): Drape prosciutto in loose ribbons. Fold salami into quarters or roll into cylinders. Place pepperoni in small piles.
  6. Add the Hard Cheeses (3 minutes): Fan out cheddar wedges, manchego slices, and smoked gouda pieces near the meats in clusters.
  7. Fill in with Produce (4 minutes): Scatter grapes in small bunches. Place olives in piles. Sprinkle dried apricots and pomegranate seeds. Tuck rosemary sprigs in between.
  8. Add the Crunchy Elements (3 minutes): Arrange crackers and breadsticks in small organized piles. Place pretzel sticks and almonds in clusters near edges.
  9. Add the Spooky Touches (3 minutes): Stick edible eyes on olives or cheese cubes. Tie rosemary to breadsticks with kitchen twine for ‘witches’ broomsticks’. Place plastic spiders or bats in empty spaces.
  10. Final Check (1 minute): Step back and fill any empty spots with extra grapes, almonds, or crackers. Aim for abundant but not overcrowded.

Notes

Prep all ingredients before arranging. Don’t overcrowd the board. Use color contrast and height for visual impact. Keep board cold if not serving immediately, but let cheese come to room temperature before serving. For leftovers, deconstruct and store components separately.
